
General Purpose Preamplifier
This is our general-purpose half-inch preamplifier suitable for most applications. It has a very low self-noise level and is fitted with an electrical heating system for use in conditions where condensation may cause a problem. Its high input impedance ensures a good low frequency response and the output stage is especially designed to drive long cables with full frequency range . The Nor-1201 has an integral LEMO style connector and there is a range of standard extension cables available including flat tape types to pass under doors etc. It has an M3 thread hole in the preamplifier body, allowing easy mounting of the preamplifier for various measurement applications.

Insert Voltage Preamplifier
This half-inch preamplifier is designed for calibration purposes using the insert voltage technique. The insert voltage technique is used for determine the open circuit voltage of a microphone cartridge. It is delivered with an integral LEMO style connector.

Nor-1204, ¼" General Purpose Preamplifier
For applications requiring quarter-inch microphones this preamplifier will optimise the measurement configuration. The outside diameter of the preamplifier matches that of the Nor-1244 and 1245 microphones in order that the assembly introduces the minimum disturbance to the field being investigated. Its electrical performance is closely equal to Nor-1201.
The body of the preamplifier is made of stainless steel and fitted with an integral 2-metre lightweight cable. This is terminated with a standard LEMO seven pin connector compatible with the standard range of Norsonic extension cables.
